Experience

Charlie Larson joined the firm in 2005 after graduating from the University of Nebraska School of Law. Prior to attending UNL, Charlie was a collegiate wrestler at Southwest Minnesota State University and received academic all-American status. Charlie works in the areas of civil litigation and worker’s compensation; approximately half of his practice is devoted to bringing and defending worker’s compensation matters.

Since joining the firm, Charlie has been involved in these transactions:

• Taken and defended over 50 depositions.
• First and second-chaired trials and arbitrations.
• Argued and defended various motions in front of the courts, including motions for summary judgment, motions to compel, and motions to dismiss.
• Conducted worker's compensation hearings on issues varying from medical causation to notice.
• Participated in dozens of mediations on a wide variety of claims.
• Drafted appellate briefs to the South Dakota Supreme Court.
• Argued appellate cases to court.
• Worked closely with accident reconstructionists in defending personal injury actions.
• Drafted settlement agreements for a variety of claims.
